Begining on August 17th and continuing thru August 28th, "Sentence to Serve" will be clearing out the buckthorn on the Little Carnelian Lake Park Trail property.  The crew will be working the weekends during that time as well. 

The "Sentence to Serve" crew will consist of eight (8) people working along with a supervisor.  The buckthorn will be pulled where possible and the larger pieces will be chipped for use on the trail.  Some of the left over brush will be burned. 

This project will save the township a considerable amount of money thanks to the assistance from the County and when completed will greatly enhance the public's enjoyment of the park trail.  The Township Police Chief will be coordinating the project and one additional Township resident has agreed to help out onsite.
